My recent eBay steals

Have you ever had those days where all you want is new clothes? But that little bird that chirps up on your shoulder shouts at you, for your bank account won’t be best pleased if you go off on a mad one and buy loads of random shit? Have you ever had those days where all you want is new clothes? But that little bird that chirps up on your shoulder shouts at you, for your bank account won’t be best pleased if you go off on a mad one and buy loads of random shit?

I get that feeling – a lot. I’m not the sort of person to wear an outfit once and then it’ll never see the light of day again because some Instagram influencer was spotted wearing something similar, I thoroughly enjoy getting my money’s worth. However, I do get bored. And fast…

So, I recently thought to myself, if I chuck all the clothes I’m not desperate to wear again on DEPOP, and then with that little stash of money I gain is to spend on new clothes, means my savings pot isn’t exactly being affected too much, right? Something which I immediately noticed is just HOW expensive certain things on Depop are being sold for… There are items going for a mere couple of quid cheaper than the RRP price when it’s been well worn and scuffed up. Then people dump a hefty £4.50 charge for 2nd class postage (which I know for a fact isn’t anything more than 3 quid) – it’s massively cheeky and it left me baffled.

This, therefore, resulted in my head being turned to eBay; it’s hit n’ miss as to whether you get some good stuff but when you get a steal it’s always worth it. Something to notice as well is that I am an absolute SUCKER for Urban Outfitters!

URBAN OUTFITTERS KING BEDDING – £35 WITH FREE POSTAGE

I’ve been eyeing up this bedding for far too long yet £50 just seemed too steep. I leaped at the chance of getting a good £15 off and I’m so excited for it to arrive! – It seemed like an offer that was too good to be true, but I made sure the seller was genuine from their reviews & all seems to be good!

URBAN OUTFITTERS JUMPER – £10.40 INC. POSTAGE

…and it’s barely worn. With winter approaching I figured I may as well do a jumper stock up, as when the temperatures get cooler, demand will rise. Grabbing a bargain whilst you can never hurts!

URBAN OUTFITTERS DRESS – £7.90 INC. POSTAGE

Dress’ like this are so versatile… wearing it as it is on a warm summers day or with a long-sleeved white top underneath when it’s a bit cooler, whatever the weather, dress’ like this can be adapted to suit you regardless of time of year.

REUSABLE CHOPSTICKS – £2.70 INC. POSTAGE

This is a bit of a random one, but certainly one that shouldn’t be overlooked! I adore oriental food and cook it more than any other cuisine, but whenever I cook it and don’t have chopsticks, it almost loses a sense of authenticity. So I got these! Reusable, dishwasher friendly and won’t contribute waste in landfills.

EASTPACK BACKPACK – £27 INC. POSTAGE

Even massive, online retailers which have a reputation of being relatively cheap are selling this particular backpack for £35+, so seeing this offer of a brand new Eastpack for that price was an offer I wasn’t going to turn down! In my opinion, they’re the best backpacks out there for the price you pay. I’ve had one previously since I was 12 (8 years), and other than it just looking a bit tatty, there was nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

    1. The issue with Depop is that people can direct message you and ask for a reduction in price. With eBay, this doesn’t happen. It is always worth the check on other sites before buying something just incase you can get a little money off elsewhere. Happy shopping!
